All little girls need ear rings!

I had my ears pierced when I was 5 years old and I had Mary Elizabeth's pierced when she was just 7 months old. So I was not surprised when Harper wanted her ears pierced for her birthday. So I took her and did not tell her it was going to hurt, but only she was getting earrings. The store did it smart by having one lady on each side and they did it at once!

She was not happy about having holes punched in her ears!

But once she saw herself in a mirror she smiled and said, "I have ear rings!!". She has been happy ever since.
Below she is looking in a mirror.

Happy 5th Birthday Harper

Today is our little Brazilian Princess' 5th Birthday!
Harper celebrated this morning at school with her class and then we had cupcakes for after school snack. We are having her favorite food tonight, chicken nuggets!
Just love the excitement on her face in the picture below. This is only the 2nd birthday celebrated with us so all this is still new to her.

She is having a Dora the Explorer party on Saturday with friends and family, so I know there will be many more pictures after that!

We are still here with lots of pictures!!!

Yes, I am still alive!!! Thanks to all those that sent an email checking on me!
I have had some computer problems and then we were out of town with no Internet last week. So now I am back with lots of pictures from our trip to the beach.
Spring Break 2009
My favorite picture from the trip, below.

Harrison trying to catch the shells as they wash up on shore.

We ran into lots of people from our community who were also enjoying the beach during Spring Break. The two boys below are from our church and the kids just adore them. They stayed and built sandcastles with the kids. Isn't that so sweet, teenagers who played in the sand with Preschoolers!
You can defiantly see who has the best TAN!!

Enjoying ice cream.

Happy Birthday to my sweet friend, Lisa

Friday was my friend Lisa's ??th Birthday, LOL!
Below is myself, Lisa (my Alabama Mama), and Tina.
The three of us are always getting into trouble in our Women's Bible Study, really we are the teacher's pets!! We always have a great time together.
We had fun surprising you Lisa!

Pillow Game - just one more crazy "Daddy" game!

Many of you know Jason is always making up games to play with the kids!
They usually consist of running, hitting something, and falling down. He got a great idea for everyone to put pillows under their shirts and you can watch the videos below to see how to play...

Hero Day

Today the kids had Hero Day at school.
They could wear a costume of their choice of any kind of hero. I thought this would be a great opportunity to teach them about real heroes, not just make believe ones like batman, spiderman, etc. We talked about Police officers, firefighters, soldiers, etc. which are wonderful heroes that do not receive enough recognition. Then we talked about heroes that we have in our life and even people that the kids know personally like pastors, missionaries, teachers, etc. So my kids dressed a little different than the other kids at their school today, but what a great lesson they learned!
Harrison went as a Pastor
Both of the girls went as missionaries.
Harper a missionary to Brazil

Mary Elizabeth a missionary to Guatemala
Nothing would make Jason and I more proud than if our children went into ministry. I know that these costumes may not be as fun or as cute as a princess or superman, but my kids now know that anyone who shares the good news of Jesus Christ is a HERO!

Snow in Alabama

We went to bed Saturday night with a chance of snow flurries and woke up to a winter wonderland!!!
OK, I was not prepared and had no snow attire for the kids. That is why Harper is wearing Harrison's camouflage pants, LOL!!
Our house covered in snow.
Our front yard.
Throwing snow balls

I am loving the snow!! Makes me miss living in Kentucky!
Kids having so much fun!

I took several pictures of the roads on our way to church, it was so beautiful!

This is our beautiful snowman, LOL!!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
We are a little sad that the snow melted, but happy that the sun is shining!!
