1st Day of Preschool

The kids are officially Preschoolers now! I dropped them off at school at 8:30 this morning, they were very excited (more about their new backpacks and lunchbags). They looked adorable so I hope you are ready for picture overload again!!

This is their school, it is at our church (Liberty Baptist), so they already feel comfortable with the building (that was nice!)

This is a picture from last night when we went to Open house to meet their teachers. Harrison and Mary Elizabeth are in the same class (maybe a problem since Mary Elizabeth likes to do everything for Harrison) and Harper is just 2 doors down. Harper's class is a little more structured because they are preparing them for Kindergarten. We really liked the teachers!

These are from this morning! Don't you just love the red shoes I found for the girls!!

Backpacks and Lunchbags ready to go!
Harrison looking handsome, or he would say he looks COOL!

Harper looking beautiful and ready for school!

Mary Elizabeth looking pretty and waiting to go!

Off to school, and we even made it on time!!

When we got there all the kids went straight into their classrooms. There were several children in the hallways crying for the moms or dads. I am glad that all of mine were fine, but it mad me a little sad that no one would miss me!! I know they will have a great time today! You would think I would be getting a lot accomplished this morning being home alone, but I am counting down the minutes waiting for 12:30 to come so I can go get them!!

Friends from Kentucky

One of my best friends, Tammy, from Kentucky (we lived in Kentucky for 5 years for those that did not know us then) stopped by with her family on their way home from the beach. Tammy and I became close friends quick because we are the same size and have the same passion for SHOPPING! I miss getting to see all the great deals she finds, but she still keeps me updated through emails. She and her husband Steve have 3 gorgeous children (Joshua 5, Lydia 3, and Katherine 1) and are one of the sweetest families we know. We miss them tremendously, but were so happy to get them see them for a few hours.

The kids had a great time playing together, but as you can see Katherine did not want her picture made! Could also be that they had been on the road since 5am!!
Thanks Baum family for spending a few hours with us, but now we miss seeing you even more! You are a great example to us for marriage and parenting. We love you guys!

Backpacks ready...

Backpacks and lunchboxes are ready for Pre-school next week!

I cannot believe I am sending my kids to school (tearing up right now)! Harrison and Mary Elizabeth will be going Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:30-12:30. Harper will be going Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 8:30-12:30. So that gives me two mornings a week alone (tearing up again) to go grocery shopping, run errands, and even get a haircut. We go to Open house Monday night and they start Tuesday, so you can look forward to First day of school pictures next week!!

Jason made fun of me having everything monogramed, but this is me we are talking about!!

God had a sense of humor when He made me...

God had a sense of humor the day He created me!
All my life Doctors have found things about me that don't work properly, crooked, backwards, too big, too small, or just plain messed up! You would think that eventually someone would find something that was put in my body correct, not so. I think the day God created me He said "let's mix up her insides and see what happens!". Well, recently at a doctors appointment they found more organs that are going the wrong way and some that just plain out don't work right. My medical history has actually become comical to me and the doctor described me as an "interesting patient". But God is GOOD and I trust in Him because He knows what He is doing. Jason told me today that I am perfect because God made me the way I am for a reason. For example, we would not have three beautiful angels in our family if everything worked properly!
Just please be in prayer, I have more test soon and surgery may be in my future.
God is the author of life and provider of my salvation, so I trust Him and Praise Him everyday!

Enjoying Family

I got a chance to do 2 of my favorite things at once, spending time with family and going to the beach! My sister, Alli, is a single mom who goes to school full time. She was on a short break and came and hung out with us for a week. RayLee, my niece, turns 2 years old next month. The kids adore her and want to treat her like a baby doll! Jason had some meetings come up in his office at Orange Beach, so we were not going to let another beach trip pass us by!! This was the last trip for the kids and I since they all start pre-school in a week (another post to come about that!!)
The kids all ready for bed.
My three little TANNED monkeys.
I love this picture!!
It just shows that a family can be made up of many races!! These four came from 3 different countries!
We did actually have a lady ask us if RayLee was part of our family since she did not "match" the others. We found it interesting that she asked about RayLee, who "matches" us, and not my kids. But it is a great opportunity to show people that true love is color-blind, and that love can only be giving by God!
Getting ready to go eat. As you can see in this picture Alli is quite a bit taller than me!!

Jay always enjoys taking his family to work with him!!!

Some pictures of Alli and RayLee on the beach.
She gets her good looks from her big sister, ha ha.

RayLee did not want any more pictures taken!!
This is my Suburban being towed and Jay standing beside on the phone!
Alli and I came back to the condo to put the kids down for a quick nap and then go out the eat, so we parked in a spot up close to unload our bus load of kids! I did not know that it was the parking spot for the most expensive Penthouse in the development!! So, when we came to get the car it was gone! We went down to the street level to see it going down the road behind a tow truck. Alli, who is quick tempered (sorry Alli!) started chasing the truck with RayLee on one hip and a designer purse on the other! Long story short, Jay apologized to the Penthouse owner and explained the situation and that he actually worked for the development so we did not have to pay any fees. The lesson I learned is don't park in a parking spot labeled Penthouse unless you own the penthouse!!
We had a great time and was sad to see Alli and RayLee go home!

My Sister visits Alabama...

My sister, Alli, and her daughter, RayLee, came to stay with us for a week. RayLee is 2 years old, so our house has been even more active that usual, to say the least!! Alli is actually 9 years younger than me and 11 years younger than our other sister, so she mostly grew up as an only child. It is nice to spend time with her now as an adult and now a mother too. We have spent a few days here at home, but are heading to the beach today for the rest of her stay. Just wanted to post a few pictures with many more to come after our beach trip!!

Another Buisness Trip for Daddy, Vacation for Us!!

Another tough week at the beach for us while Jay went from one meeting to another with no time to even have lunch!

I am thankful that I have a husband that does not want to spend a single night away from us, so we get to go on these great trips with him. Here are some pictures from our trip this week.

The kids loved the slide and tubes! This pool was beautiful!!
This was on our condo balcony.
I took the kids to see Wall-E.
My little handsome Man!

TIRED!

The kids are getting brave in the water now. The girls were putting their face under water and crawling on the bottom of the pool. A few more trips like this and they will be swimming!! Harrison, on the other hand, would rather not get his face wet. This is a video of the girls swimming.
