Jason grew up flying everywhere with his family. So, naturally he had always hoped that we would be an aviation family too! Jason had his solo flight at 17 years old and I began flying with his family when I was 18 years old. Jason got out of it when we moved to Kentucky, but recently had everything updated and went through 2 more years of training. He has always finished at the top of his class and had the highest scores on all of his test! He has been up several time and has even taking Harrison on many occasions. So, when we had the opportunity to take our first family flight to see his Mother in North Georgia we were all very excited! I know people think we are crazy, but we ALL love flying and the 4 1/2 hour trip turns to a 1 hour trip (which is great with 3 little ones!). So here are some pictures I took this weekend, hope you enjoy!
Oh, and YES I made the girl's outfits (I am very proud of these)!
Everyone buckled in and ready to go!Our good-looking Pilot!!
The co-Pilot
Once we were up the kids enjoyed looking out the window.
And No, the kids are not scared! Remember they are little World travelers and have even been in a helicopter.
This is the race track in Talladega, AL
Why would anyone worry when we are in charge!!!
Flying over clouds has to be my favorite!!
Once we got to Mimi and PaPa's house we enjoyed the outdoors! The leaves are changing there, so it was beautiful!!
Jay, his Mom (Rhonda), and Harrison
PaPa (Lloyd) taking the kids for a ride.
Next day we are getting ready to head home.
TIRED little kids!! They were all asleep before we toke off.
I love flying over the mountains!! They are beautiful!!!
We had a great time and made many wonderful family memories. We can't wait to make another trip somewhere!!

Marsha... you and your family have such wonderful adventures! How fun that your hubby can fly you all where you want to go!! Do you own the airplane or do you rent? That would be my dream to just pack up and fly where we want to go... I hate driving! LOL!
LOVE the new outfits you made!
That is wild that you guys can fly! I am truly impressed! (With the flying skills and the sewing skills - you go girl!)
I love the picture of the kids asleep - so precious snuggling with eachother!
Y'all seem to have loads of fun!
* btw, we are moving next weekend (most likely) so we will have to get together with you guys!
ps. - y'all can just fly on down! make it a 5 minute trip instead of an hour and a half!
I LOVE the outfits!! And you two have got to the be the best looing flight crew I have seen!
I love the pic of Jason The Pilot with his Bible in his hands! LOL The pics are great - how awesome to be able to fly wherever. I've never flown so maybe when we come visit Jay can take us up ... Love you guys!
That is such an amazing thing to be able to share with your kids. Those outfits are too cute too.
How long is the flight to Bowman Field in Louisville KY?
Loved the photos!
Jason,
I'm so glad to see that you're back in the pilot's seat! There are few things better in life than loading up your loved ones and heading off to the wild blue yonder, as Pilot in Command.
Marsha mentioned two years of training. What sort of training did you accomplish?
I thought you'd enjoy this video of a landing we did with MAF in Ecuador this summer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAhkewdihOg
Drop me a line some time. I'd love to catch up and hear more about your aviation endeavors.
Happy landings,
Robert
