What do you do all day?

I love it when people ask me what I do all day!
As if all stay at home moms have maids, cooks, nannies, and personal assistance! I had one of those days this week, the kind that everything you touch falls apart! I wanted to just sit down and cry by early afternoon, but there was no time for that!! Here is how my day went:
  • Mary Elizabeth woke me up at 3:30am because her blanket fell on the floor.
  • Everyone up and wanting milk and breakfast at 6:30am.
  • Dropped 1/2 gallon of milk on floor.
  • Get everyone dresses and feed, Harrison had to be dressed twice because he did not make it to the potty in time!
  • Make a quick trip to grocery store (there is never a quick trip with 3 little ones)
  • Make two trips to the potty in the grocery store, and had one temper tantrum!
  • Get home unload car, by this time it is lunch!
  • Put lunch on stove, burn lunch!
  • Change Mary Elizabeth's clothes, she did not make it to the potty in time!
  • Put lunch #2 on stove and put in on the table.
  • Answer phone, turn around and cat is eating our lunch and turned the drinks over on the table.
  • Mop the floor and give up on eating lunch!!
  • Broke up a fight, put kids in corner!
  • Put dishes in dishwasher, cut hand on knife!
  • Put kids down for a nap, and wouldn't you know the girls didn't want to go to sleep!
  • Finally get everyone to sleep, finally a moments to gather myself - 3 phone calls I have to take!

This was just half my day and I gave up on getting anything accomplished!! But I sure LOVE being a stay at home Mom and would not trade my JOB for any other.

I am just glad that God blessed me with kids to keep my life interesting!

Amen! I have days and weeks like that too. I have been both a SAHM and a working mom and they both are very hard. Being a mom is hard work period and it is totally worth it. However, there are days that make you want to hide in the closet with an entire cake and not come out until it is gone!

One good thing about reading other blogs is that it makes you feel not so alone in your daily struggles/laughable/cryable moments. ;)
